NSP Arrests Two Men in Child Enticement Investigations

MAY 6, 2025 (GRAND ISLAND, NEB.)  — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested two men as part of child enticement investigation.

In April, both subjects began communicating online with an NSP investigator, posing as a 14-year-old girl. In separate communications, each subject arranged with to meet for a sexual encounter with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. On Thursday, May 1, NSP troopers and investigators showed up at the designated meeting locations and arrested two individuals.

The first arrest occurred at a park in Hastings, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Troopers located and arrested the suspect, identified as Guillermo Lopez Campos, 32, of Harvard. He was lodged in Adams County Jail.

The second arrest occurred outside a grocery store in Grand Island at approximately 11:40 p.m., Thursday. Investigators located and arrested the suspect, identified as Oscar Linares Mendez, 23, of Grand Island. He was lodged in Hall County Jail.
