Mendoza-Rama leads Knights at Eastern Wyoming College Invite

Torrington, Wyo.– Esperanza Mendoza-Rama closed out the tournament with a team best round of 93 to finish 11th individually. As a team, the Knights placed third at the Eastern Wyoming College Invite on Friday.

Kaylee Carlson took five strokes off her opening round score to finish 13th with a 36-hole score of 193 (+49). Freshman Kristyn Woolley (+60) also improved in the second round to place 16th, while Delaine Mize (+61) rounded out the Knights with a 17th place finish.

“Even though we believe we are capable of better scores,” said head coach Will Peers. ”The girls are gaining confidence and improving in multiple aspects each tournament.”

Knights return to action at the Central Wyoming College Invite for their final regular season tournament beginning April 17.
