The Prairie Arts Center in North Platte is hosting a Ukrainian Egg Pysanky Painting class April 16th at 1 and 6pm.
Learn history and symbolism of Ukrainian eggs in this 2-hour, beginner-to-intermediate make & take workshop. Explore the age-old Ukrainian method of writing Pysanky, the vibrant and traditional folk art of Ukrainian style eggs.

This is done by applying a series of melted beeswax and dyes to create traditional and individually creative patterns. When complete, the wax is melted off, revealing the vivid colors. This workshop will use candles, beeswax, chicken eggs, and permanent dyes.

All supplies and tools will be provided. Kits will also be available for purchase, so you can continue to make Pysanky eggs at home.
