North Platte Man Arrested for Assault After Incident at Hershey Convenience Store

A North Platte man has been arrested for several charges after an incident Thursday morning at the Kwik Stop convenience store in Hershey.
Per a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:20 AM Thursday morning, numerous reports of a subject under the influence came in. It was reported that the male subject, later identified as 29-year-old Austin Bordeaux of North Platte, was attempting to assault employees and patrons of the store. As a result, Hershey Public Schools went into lock down.
Lincoln County deputies arrived and contacted Bordeaux, who according to the release was highly intoxicated. Deputies learned that he did assault a store clerk leaving her with a cut on her hand.
Bordeaux was arrested and incarcerated for third degree assault, disturbing the peace, and trespassing.
Hershey Public School was taken out of lock down upon the arrest.
