AUDIO: Ward 4 Councilman Rieker Defends Thoughts on NP Rec Center

Last Tuesday members of the North Platte City Council voted to table a vote to place a half-cent sales tax increase on the November Ballot to fund a new North Platte Recreation Center, skate park and updates to North Platte’s Cody Pool. Ward Four Councilman Ed Rieker was one of two representatives to speak against the sales tax increase and joined Huskeradio’s Mugs in the Morning with Tristen Winder this week to defend his views.

Following last week’s council meeting, concerned citizens organized a petition drive to by-pass the council and place the half-cent sales tax increase on the November ballot. Additional information on the petition drive can be found with the link provided below:
