North Platte Soccer v Scottbsluff

Both North Platte soccer teams rounded out their regular season against Scottsbluff, with a win for the girl’s team on the road. The Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-4 with a 3-1 win over Scottsbluff, now preparing them to host Millard South (7-8) in the A3 District Tournament on Tuesday next week. As for the boy’s team, they fell to Scottsbluff at home 3-2 in a shootout. That loss drops them to 4-11 and they’ll travel to take on Bellevue East this Saturday in the A-1 District.


North Platte Boy’s Golf @ Capital City Invite

The Bulldog boy’s golf team shot a season-low 324 as a team, good for third place in the Highlands Division of the Capital City Invite in Lincoln on Thursday. A beautiful day led to low scores, as River Johnston shot a 78, good for fourth individually. Teammate Rylan Perry placed 7th at 80, while Luke Borges finished at 82, good for 13th overall. Four Bulldogs shot personal records on Thursday. North Platte now prepares for a varsity golf quad at McCook this coming Monday.


MNAC Track and Field Conference Meet in Arnold

It was a South Loup sweep at the MNAC Conference Track Meet in Arnold on Thursday, with the boy’s edging Brady by five points for the title, while the girl’s rolled to a 45-point victory. Sandhills Valley boy’s were third, while Mullen and Arthur County rounded out the top five on the boy’s side.

For the girls, Sandhills-Thedford was second with Mullen, Twin Loup and Anselmo-Merna rounding out the top five.

MNAC Boy’s Golf Invite in Arnold
Sandhills Valley took the team title at the MNAC golf invite in Arnold on Thursday, shooting a 379 ahead of second-place South Loup, who finished at 397. Anselmo-Merna shot a 399, good for third overall.
Individually, Colbi Smith of South Loup and Hyannis’ Jhet Holthus shot an 81 to claim the top spot. Cole Kramer of Sandhills Valley was third  at 82.

Maxwell/St Pat’s Splits With Kearney JV
MSP baseball split their doubleheader with Kearney JV on Thursday at Bill Wood Field, taking the first game 18-8 after six innings. Game two went to Kearney JV 22-10 in five innings. MSP (4-7) will travel to Crete next on Tuesday for a JV/Varsity doubleheader. That will wrap up the regular season and they’ll begin District play next Thursday in the B5 District in Benning. MSP will open the tourney with Omaha Roncalli Catholic at 3:30 next Thursday. KODY will have live coverage of the game.
