Audio: Senator Mike Jacobson Holds Inaugural Campaign Rally in North Platte

Monday evening District 42 Nebraska State Senator Mike Jacobson formally began his campaign for the seat that he was appointed to by Governor Pete Ricketts earlier this year. Senator Jacobson is the founder and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank in North Platte and prior to his appointment to the legislature, Senator Jacobson had spent years serving on the City of North Platte Community Redevelopment Authority and North Platte Airport Authority. The rally was held in downtown North Platte and hosted by Ward Two North Platte City Councilman Ty Lucas who has spent years working with Senator Jacobson at NebraskaLand Bank in North Platte.

Officially introducing Senator Jacobson at the event was Retired Great Plains Health CEO Mel McNea and his wife Michelle, close personal friends with the Jacobsons for a number of years.

The event neared its conclusion as Senator Jacobson took the stage with his wife Julie.

Senator Jacobson was appointed to the Legislature following the resignation of Mike Groene earlier this year. Senator Jacobson is facing off against Lincoln County Commissioner Chairman Chris Bruns and Brenda Fortner.
