Lincoln County State Senator Mike Groene has officially filed to represent Western Nebraska on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. The District 42 Senator will face fellow outgoing State Senator Matt Williams of Dawson County as the pair are reaching their term limits in the Nebraska Unicameral. Longtime University of Nebraska Regent Bob Pharees announced last summer he would not seek another term.
