A pair of North Platte Saint Pat’s students signed on to continue their athletic careers Tuesday in their home gyms. Kinsey Skillstad signed on to play volleyball next year at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, while Jocylin Sellers will play locally at North Platte Community College for basketball.

Both had impressive careers for the Irish and both were multi-sport athletes, competing in volleyball, basketball and track and field.

Skillstad plans on majoring in business administration at Northeast, with goals to go to UNL in Lincoln for a hospitality degree. Sellers is planning on going in nursing.

Northeast’s Volleyball Coach Amanda Shultze said “We are very excited to have Kinsey become a part of our team this fall. We have heard wonderful things from Coach Victory and know that Kinsey is very coachable and has a great work ethic. Kinsey is a versatile player. She is strong and can adjust to different positions quickly. We are excited to see what she will accomplish here at Northeast.”

Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jeff Thurman at NPCC said “we are extremely excited to have Jocylin join our Women’s Basketball Program and family here at NPCC. She is exactly the type of student-athlete we strive to get inside our program; a high-character individual, academically strong, athletically-gifted, and she is right in our backyard. We could not ask for a better student-athlete to represent our program, institution, and community. We can’t wait to get Jocylin to campus, as well as the rest of our student-athletes and get to work!”

You can hear interview from the two below from signing day.
