The North Platte Legion Board held a meeting Wednesday evening to discuss the upcoming season, but also recent events regarding a coach resigning and practices being held. Huskeradio reached out to North Platte Legion Board President Bob Lindemeier to discuss the board meeting and the resignation of Developmental Coach Justin Janas.

During the interview, Lindemeier also announced his own resignation as Board President. “I think it’s probably best that I step aside and they get new leadership because obviously I’m not able to complete that in a manner that the board is happy with.” Lindemeier said his resignation is immediate.

The Legion baseball season is still somewhat up in the air, as State officials are set to meet tomorrow for a meeting. Practices in the state can resume June 1st for organized youth sports and games can officially be held on June 18th. Tryouts will be held on June 1st for a combined Juniors/Seniors team that will hold games between June 18th and early August. You can register to tryout here.
