The North Platte Bulldog soccer teams earned two victories Monday, setting up sub-district finals for Tuesday and Wednesday.
On the girl’s side, the Lady Bulldogs were the top seed, hosting the B-8 Sub-District and defending that top spot, rolling in their first game 8-0 over Scottsbluff. On the other side of the bracket, third-seeded Lexington defeated Gering 1-0 to advance. Now, North Platte and Lexington will battle for the girl’s B-8 sub-district final on Wednesday at 6 PM at North Platte High School. In their only meeting this year in the regular season, North Platte defeated Lexington 2-0 back on March 28th.
In the boy’s B-8 sub-district, the Bulldogs played in Lexington as the two seed, knocking off third-seed Scottsbluff 4-2 to advance. Top seed Lexington rolled Gering 8-0 on the top side of the bracket. North Platte and Lexington will now play in the B-8 Sub-District Final Tuesday night at 5 pM at the Lexington Soccer Complex. In their sole meeting earlier this year the Bulldogs fell 2-0 on March 28th.
