Hurricane Michael should not impact Nebraska’s price at the pump

Another hurricane is taking aim at the U.S. Michael is expected to reach land Wednesday and it appears that Florida will take the brunt of the storm but it could extend into Louisiana and other Gulf of Mexico communities. Triple-A Nebraska’s Rose White says they are also tracking the storm to see how it will impact the price at the pump.

However, White says weather situations can change quickly so they are keeping close tabs on the storm. Gas prices in Nebraska have recently bumped up due to refineries closed for maintenance and the big jump in crude oil prices. In Nebraska, prices range from $2.60 to $3.16 a gallon. There are 20 communities in Nebraska where gas prices are over the $3 mark.
