A Lincoln County Student has been Expelled for Having a Gun on School Property

A Lincoln County student was cited and expelled this week for having a firearm on school property. The shotgun was reported to faculty after being seen in the trunk of a vehicle following a Tuesday practice in Maxwell.  The student told authorities he forgot to take the gun out of the trunk after going hunting this past weekend.

He was cited for possession of a weapon on school property. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says there were no behavioral issues or threat to the school.
