Bulldog Golfers Dominate Gothenburg Invite

The North Platte Bulldog’s golf team dominated the Gothenburg Invite at Wildhorse on Thursday, winning by 28 strokes ahead of second place Scottsbluff. North Platte finished with a team score of 295, while the Bearcats finished at 323. Cozad finished in third at 329 followed by a tie for fourth with McCook and Broken Bow at 331.

Individually the success continued for North Platte as the Bulldogs had four in the top five. Jayden Jones edged Connor Dorman of Sidney by just one stroke to finish one-under at 71 for the individual title.  North Platte’s Tanner Ruda came in third a stroke back of Dorman at 73. Drew Phillips and Kyle Zimbelman rounded out the top five at 75 and 76 for North Platte and the individual scoring. Kade Wroot rounded out the Bulldogs with a 78, good for a tie for 7th.
