Tornado Causes Damage in McPherson County

The National Weather Service says a supercell thunderstorm produced a tornado destroying a grain bin and flipped 90 feet of center pivot irrigation line in southwest McPherson county Wednesday evening. The same storm also produced brief tornadoes in southeast Arthur county, however a survey of that area revealed no damage. The tornado has been rated at an EF0 with 80 mile per hour winds.

Damage surveys of tornadoes in Lincoln, southwest Cherry and southeast Sheridan counties will be completed today, July 8th.
